Not long ago, we shared great news about our partner Okta with you; they were named the sole leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Identity and Access Management as a Service (IDaaS).
Today, we are really excited to highlight further good news from Okta: They just raised $75 million in their latest funding round. Okta was valued at nearly $1.2 billion and therefore joins the so called “unicorn club” that means startups worth more than $1 billion (find the complete story here).
Todd McKinnon, Co-Founder & CEO of Okta, said in his Okta blog post that “Okta has reached an important inflection point” and that Okta is “thrilled to continue their partnership with Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners and Sequoia Capital, who all co-led this round, with participation from Khosla Ventures, Altimeter Capital, Glynn Capital and others.”
In addition, Okta just recently opened a Datacenter in Germany in order to comply with EU Data laws and meet the needs of their European customers.
